OAUG Enhancement Request System

OAUG ERS Available to Geos and SIGs

OAUG ERS serves as a central point of collection, evaluation, and voting on enhancement requests for the Oracle products supported by your group. OAUG, including affiliated Geographic or Special Interest Groups, can make use of the output of the OAUG ERS voting to share with Oracle Product Managers to begin dialog surrounding what your group deems to be the most important enhancements to each product.

If you would like sign your affiliated Geographic or Special Interest Group up to use the ERS, please let us know.

OAUG ERS Feature Requests Accepted in Fusion Development

Last year, the OAUG expanded its Enhancement Request System (ERS) to include feature requests for Oracle Fusion. This year, the OAUG is pleased to announce that Oracle has distributed the results of last summer’s ERS voting and endorsed immediate use of the OAUG’s ERS for the submission of requests for E-Business Suite, Siebel, Oracle Retail, and PeopleSoft for the 2007 voting cycle.

Of the 287 top-ranked enhancement requests from 2006, Oracle initially reports that 79 percent of the requests were accepted in Fusion, either in 1.0 or a subsequent release. The remaining requests either require additional information or were determined to be out of scope. A summary of the 2006 ERS voting results Members Only Content (MS Excel file) is available to OAUG members.

Oracle’s formal responses have been e-mailed to those individuals who participated in the enhancements process in 2006.

If you wish to submit an enhancement for 2007, the ERS is now open! Login to the Enhancement Request System to submit your enhancements today!

Enhancement and Fusion Feature Voting Results Now Available

The Enhancement and Fusion Feature Request System voting results have been compiled and sent to Oracle Corporation. In addition, a copy was sent to the International Oracle User Council (IOUC), the OAUG Fusion Council and each geographic (Geo) and special interest group (SIG) coordinator. OAUG members can now download the results Members Only Content (MS Excel file).

OAUG Enhancement Request System Successfully Completes First Ever Voting Cycle

The OAUG Enhancement Request System (ERS) completed its first ever full voting cycle on July 31, 2006. Users submitted enhancement requests for over 400 Oracle Applications products, including Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft and Oracle Retail. Ultimately, the system collected over 1,100 submissions for this voting cycle.

“We appreciate the effort that the OAUG members invested in the submission and prioritization of enhancement requests,” said Jesper Andersen, Senior Vice President, Oracle Applications Strategy. “It’s obvious that the participating customers and SIGs devoted considerable time in filtering and prioritizing the requests. This type of detailed input is extremely valuable and timely, as we finalize requirements and begin designing Oracle Fusion.”

Special thanks to those SIGs that participated in evaluating the submissions to ensure they were clear and of high enough quality to be included in the ERS voting engine. The SIG reviewers began threaded discussions with the submitters to ensure that their submissions were completely understood and deleted duplicate requests, resulting in highly qualified data for which OAUG members could vote.

When voting concluded at the end of July, over 6,200 total votes had been cast. Thank you to those OAUG members who took the time to vote! The results are currently being compiled in preparation to being shared with SIG coordinators, specific Oracle representatives and the International Oracle User Council (IOUC). Keep watch on this page for updates on voting results. Any formal responses we receive from Oracle regarding individual enhancements will be loaded back into the ERS.

The OAUG is currently evaluating the input received from SIGs and OAUG members regarding the submission, evaluation and voting processes to identify opportunities for improvement. Once this input has been analyzed and feedback has been received from Oracle, the OAUG will work with the SIGs to develop a timeline for the next voting cycle.

If you missed this voting cycle and wish to submit enhancements for the next voting cycle, the ERS is open! Login to the Enhancement Request System to submit your enhancements today!

Once again, thank you to everyone who participated in the OAUG ERS process this year. If you have any questions about the ERS or ideas for improving the process, please let us know by e-mailing us at enhancements@oaug.org.
