The OAUG is pleased to announce the launch of the OAUG Ambassador program!
Your organization’s OAUG Ambassador will fulfill a few simple obligations throughout the year in order to maximize the value of its OAUG membership. These simple yet important actions will help to ensure your colleagues have OAUG logins and know how to access the latest-and-greatest OAUG free and discounted benefits. Thank you to our current OAUG Ambassadors for volunteering!
With the launch of the OAUG Ambassador program, each member organization will have a designated Billing Contact (formerly your Key Contact) responsible for receiving and paying the annual membership fee and one Ambassador who will be responsible for passing along OAUG benefits information, voting on behalf of the organization, and maintaining the list of employees within the OAUG database who should (or should not) have member access through your organization. Please note that one person can act as both the Billing Contact and Ambassador if you wish.
The OAUG Ambassadors’ obligations are:
1. Attend two or more 30-minute OAUG Ambassador Informational Webinars per year. These webinars are tentatively scheduled for April 23, June 19, September 18 and December 4 and will keep the Ambassador up to date on new resources, events and updates from within the OAUG community to pass along to their colleagues. The June 19 webinar registration is now open for both 11:00 am EDT and 4:00 pm EDT.
2. Send an OAUG Benefits Reminder & Update email (provided by the OAUG) to all of your colleagues after each webinar.
3. Update your organization’s list of employees with logins twice a year. The OAUG will send the update notice by email; a response is due within 30 days of receipt.
OAUG Ambassadors who have fulfilled these requirements by the end of each year will be entered into a drawing for one full conference registration to the OAUG event of their choice in the following year (this year’s winner will be chosen in December 2012). All Ambassadors will also receive VIP treatment at OAUG events as a thank you for your efforts.
If your organization does not have a designated Ambassador yet and you would like to volunteer to help your organization increase the value of its OAUG membership, simply send an e-mail to membership@oaug.com with “OAUG Ambassador Program” in the subject line along with your name, company, and your OAUG login email address. Please note that an organization may have only one Ambassador, and Ambassadors are selected on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once confirmed as your organization’s Ambassador, you will receive administrative access to your organization’s OAUG membership as well as detailed instructions of your responsibilities. If no one within your organization has volunteered by June 1, 2012, the OAUG will automatically designate the current Billing Contact of your organization as the Ambassador as well.
