[OAUGNet]-Anyone modified the Back-to-Back sales order process to use item org level attributes

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone had modified Oracle's code for the Back-to-Back sales order process so that it would use an item's organization level ATO attributes instead of the master level attributes that it was designed to use? We have a situation here where we need to connect a sales order line to a PO line but need to have the inventory shipped to central warehousing(not dropshipped to customer). The same item could also be sourced from central warehousing from a bulk purchase and thus does not need the SO-PO connection.
I was hoping to see if I could modify the applicable functions/processes in the Line Flow - Generic workflow so that it read an item's organization level attributes so I could create a new organization that would represent the Back-to-Back fulfillment vs my original organization which would be for typical stock supply(no PO connectivity required).

Has anyone done this or created another mechanized solution to tie a sales order line to a PO line(in our case that is for line level gross margin based on specific purchase cost). We tried the flexfield approach but found they did not fill in the data on the PO line most of the time. Looking for a tighter solution.

Thanks,
Gillian
