ReadSoft North America Margaux Lenoir Looking to streamline your Oracle payables process? ReadSoft solutions dramatically strengthen the four pillars of accounts payable optimization: efficiency, cycle time, control and visibility. This session will explain how you can transfer invoices and financial data straight into Oracle E-Business Suite and overcome the bottleneck and tedious work of keying in invoice information. You will learn how to handle invoice processing automatically through best practices, thus providing cost savings, more efficiency, and faster financial calculations. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Main Presentation 1: Karen Brownfield Solution Beacon, LLC CAM Recovery in Oracle E-Business Suite Leases have always included provisions for billing of Common Area Maintenance, taxes, and insurance. Some landlords just roll these costs into the rent and absorb any overages. Others bill a monthly estimate of these charges and do annual "true ups" or comparison of these monthly billings to the actual costs with a resulting one-time charge or credit. Done manually this true-up is a very time-intensive process. This presentation will explain how Oracle has automated this process and will discuss the setups required and how to run the process. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Main Presentation 2: Peter Ward Director, Supply Chain Solutions Hitachi Consulting Controlling Transportation With many manufacturers and distributors facing higher transportation costs, there has been a lot more interest in Oracle Transportation Management (OTM), the best-of-breed transportation management system formerly known as G-Log. This discussion will describe how companies are using OTM to control, and in many cases reduce, their transportation costs. The discussion will describe the "configurability" of OTM with particular attention on how 'agents" are used in OTM for managing work flows, both on the user side and in the background. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Break Out Session 1: Christian Rossetti Global Software Revolutionizing spreadsheet automation: enhance your Oracle® application using Microsoft® Excel-based automation tools Make spreadsheets more powerful by enhancing data integrity and placing more control on the spreadsheet process. Learn how to limit risks often associated with inaccurate spreadsheet information and gain more control over your business environment. This will introduce a variety of concepts and best practices within the Microsoft Excel and Oracle environments that will enhance the overall Oracle application experience. We will use relevant client examples throughout the educational presentation. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Break Out Session 2: Paul Scheibal, CEO, Jaros Technologies KPI Design and Implementation Concepts This session will discuss dashboards and KPI's from a technical perspective. It discusses KPI design concepts including data modeling, data access, and data infrastructure. Financial integrity is key to any KPI reporting environment. The discussion shows how FSG?s can be integrated with KPI's and how design can have a performance impact on your ERP environments. This session will also touch upon KPI environments and what to look for in a KPI solution. The session uses actual designs that are proven and used in packaged solutions. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Break Out Session 3: Henry Ful, Technology Center, Inc. Practice Standard for Configuration Management Most projects present teams with challenges relating to time, cost and scope. Careful management of these project elements allows projects to be completed successfully. In order to guide a project's direction, project managers utilize the process of configuration management. Project configuration management is the collective body of processes, activities, tools, and methods used to manage certain items during the project lifecycle. Configuration management is implemented to actively guide the direction of the project and support communication that will facilitate successful completion. Due to the increasing complexity of projects and greater competition among companies, the knowledge of configuration management techniques is more important than ever. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ --PLEASE FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO OTHER ORACLE USERS-- -- Andrew Snyder NOODLEit, Inc. asnyder@NOODLEit.com 404.892.2044 Phone 404.892.2046 Fax www.NOODLEit.com ############################################################# This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list <OAUGNet@oaug.com>.
