Steps.
   1. Create a Character based report using the report designer wizard and 
register it in concurrent program and run the report ( just use the default 
layout, don't worry about the layout.)
   2. Change the output format to xml  in concurrent manager program 
definition
   3. Run the report and save the output xml file to your local drive 
(which will help to identify all xml elements available to you)
   4. Design a template ( RTF or PDF Template, include your logo and the 
xml elements you want)
   5. Create Data Definition (using XML Publisher Administrator 
responsibility )
   6. Create template (using XML Publisher Administrator responsibility )
   7. Run the report  ( it should show the template available in the 
concurrent manager once you fill out the program name and you can select the 
output format ( pdf ,excel, html..)
