[OAUGNet]-Revision management

In our organization we are used to buy equipment which is revision marked.  The application requires sequential order and does not allow opening a new revision if it's in lower sequence than the previous one. This is logical in a case of a manufacturing organization, which we are not.   Does anybody know if there is a way to avoid the sequence validation?
