About OAUG

Accomplishments Spanning 10 Years

Over the last decade OAUG has evolved into one of the largest independent users groups in the world, with more than more than 2,200 member companies worldwide, representing diverse backgrounds, industries and geographic locations. Thanks to dedicated members like you, the OAUG continues to provide an independent forum promoting education, networking, information sharing.

As both Oracle Corporation and the number of Oracle Applications Users have continued to grow, Oracle Corporation has recently chosen to follow a new path with its conference plans. Some of you are in the unfortunate position of having to choose between conferences and have raised the question, "Which conference should I attendÑan OAUG Conference or Oracle AppsWorld?"

Both conferences should prove beneficial to applications users. OAUG's conferences are designed for users, by users, as an independent forum for sharing information and experience on selecting, implementing, and effectively using Oracle Applications products. Through paper presentations, geographic and special interest group meetings, educational sessions, exhibit halls, and hands-on demo areas, OAUG conferences also offer information on the latest upgrades to the newest Oracle releases, Oracle's integration with complementary software products, and ways in which you can improve your company's return on its current investment in Oracle's software.

As Oracle's mission is clearly to sell more products, Oracle AppsWorld promises to showcase Oracle's newest software products promoting its future vision. Oracle's AppsWorld will undoubtedly be a snapshot of what is to come, and will focus on showcasing these new products to existing and new customers.

Deciding which conference to attend can be resolved by reviewing your objectives for your company's participation in any event. But, if your goal is to learn more about upcoming Oracle Applications products and releases, AppsWorld attendance may be a good way to prepare for a future investment. But if your goal is to access educational training and training resources while networking with an independent group of applications Users in order to maximize your company's current investment in Oracle Applications products, you should attend an OAUG Conference. In short, AppsWorld will provide users with the "what" Ð what exists and what is coming. OAUG's Conferences will provide you with the "how" Ð how to make it all work.

We look forward to seeing you at the OAUG Spring 2001 Conference in Atlanta as this promises to be the most beneficial and rewarding OAUG conference to date.

Here's to another successful decade of service!
