Oracle OpenWorld 2006 Users Group Program

The OAUG is working closely with Oracle to help create a compelling educational event. Oracle OpenWorld 2006 will afford you the opportunity to learn more about Oracle’s vision and future strategy.

In addition, Oracle is once again pleased to host six of its primary users groups at Oracle OpenWorld. All attendees are invited to engage with the Higher Education User Group (HEUG), the Independent Oracle Users Group (IOUG), Oracle Development Tools User Group (ODTUG), the Oracle HCM Users Group (OHUG), the Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG) and Quest International Users Group in a variety of ways during the week at OpenWorld.

Throughout the week, the OAUG will be providing educational sessions, as well as hosting several SIG meetings (PDF file) during the event. Be sure to stop by the OAUG membership information center in the User Group Pavilion in Moscone West, Lobby Level Two, during the event to learn more about the OAUG's new and unique membership initiatives.

You also won’t want to miss the 5th Annual Oracle Users Forum, which will take place on Sunday, October 22, 2006, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the San Francisco Hilton. Over 40 SIG meetings (PDF file) will be held throughout the morning. Meetings will cover a variety of topics and can be viewed in the Content Catalog, which can be added to your agenda. You need not be a member of a specific SIG or affiliated user group to attend; you just need to have an interest in the focus of the SIG. In the afternoon, join the OAUG for four special community outreach sessions covering our newly affiliated groups of PeopleSoft, Siebel, the Oracle Retail Users Group (ORUG, formerly Retek) and Portal Software. Additionally, the OAUG will feature five selected white paper sessions. Come for the content and discover the value of the instruction available from your peers within the OAUG. The forum is open to all registered OpenWorld attendees.

Oracle OpenWorld 2006 is providing both conference registration and conference bag distribution centers at the San Francisco Hilton for all Oracle Users Forum attendees starting Sunday at 7:30 a.m.
