Announcing the Oracle CRM Community

July 2007

Dear Colleagues,

The mission of the Fusion CRM User Group is to provide a forum for sharing information and expertise among all users regarding the selection, implementation and effective use of Oracle CRM applications. The overarching goal for this group is to foster community by building alliances with like-minded organizations for the purpose of collaboration and education. We remain a not-forprofit organization, graciously supported by our sponsors (we do not receive funding for our group from Oracle Corporation or the OAUG). We are committed to serving and representing Oracle CRM constituents from all industries and product pillars.

To further our mission, I am proud to announce the creation of the Oracle CRM Community, an integrated community comprised of the PeopleSoft Enterprise, Fusion, Siebel, and E-Business Suite CRM User Group memberships, fully supported by Oracle Corporation and affiliated with the Oracle Applications User Group (OAUG). We will remain an independent community with no dues or fees associated with membership. The Fusion CRM User Group Board of Directors, along with representation from all Oracle CRM product pillars, will serve as the governing body for the community.

Our value proposition includes:

  • Oracle/User Group Relationship
    • The integrated community becomes a single point of contact for CRM user group communications with Oracle Corporation.
    • Increased visibility, nationally and internationally, provides opportunity for continued growth of our membership.
    • Greater Oracle-endorsed access to resources.
    • Continued interaction with Oracle Product Strategy, Development, and Global Support -- now for ALL product pillars.
  • Affiliation with OAUG
    • Combined events:
      • COLLABORATE
      • Oracle OpenWorld
    • Regional and industry-specific CRM meetings for Siebel, PeopleSoft Enterprise, EBusiness Suite and Fusion product pillars. (These events are in addition to our annual CRM Spring Conference)
    • Additional channels for fixes and enhancement requests.
    • Logistical support for CRM conferences.
    • Increased educational opportunities.
    • Increased visibility, nationally and internationally, provides opportunity for continued growth of our membership.

Enhanced Communications/ Web Site Redesign

The ability to communicate effectively is crucial to the success of any initiative. The success of our community and all initiatives associated with it will rely heavily on how well we articulate our vision, needs and concerns to the appropriate areas and through the appropriate channels. The Board will redesign the Fusion CRM Web site to ensure that we are bringing you accurate and up-to-date information from all product pillars as well as informing you of all Oracle and OAUG CRM activities. Information regarding the CRM Community will be made available to you via the FusionCRM, OAUG, and Oracle Web sites, via e-mail and newsletters and through communication support from the marketing departments of Oracle Corporation and the OAUG.

As we work toward strengthening our community, we welcome your feedback. Please do not hesitate to contact us at board@fusioncrm.org with any questions or concerns you may have. We will be sending you periodic updates that will outline our activities.

Respectfully yours,
Audrey R. Bledsoe, President
